3.5 mm Interlocking Nail System

The 3.5 Interlocking Nail System is a simple, yet effective method of fracture reduction in small animals. An interlocking nail is a refined intramedullary pin that has been inserted into the medullary cavity of a fractured long bone, specifically the humerus, femur, or tibia. Blood supply to the bone is not compromised. Titanium nail implants do not need to be removed.

The advantages of the interlocking nail are numerous and include:

• Reduction of angular, torsional, and compression forces on a fractured bone
• Power equipment not required to insert
• Inexpensive to stock multiple sizes
• Ability to reduce comminuted long bone fractures without bone plating
• Minimal training required
